On Friday, August 1, we headed down to Fallen Arrows‘ new space on Edgewood Ave, Phase A. The first of many upcoming events, the Fela Fashion Show debuted their upcoming line, inspired by Nigerian activist and musician Fela Kuti. The line includes nine cut-and-new garments crafted by Fallen Arrows to be released this week. The clothing line is also being released simultaneously with a new documentary based on Kuti’s life, “Finding Fela!” Catch the documentary on August 15th at Midtown Art Cinema.
On Saturday, August 9, head over to Phase A to pick up Fallen Arrow’s new line during their pop-up shop at 482 Edgewood Ave. Keep an eye out for more events and the release of the clothing line at Phase A’s facebook page.
